To Our Equine Enthusiast Family,
While all of us continue to #StayHome to prevent the spread of the virus, we hope that everyone is staying safe, staying well, and staying engaged. This week’s good news story coming out of Rutgers University is that “Asthma Does Not Seem to Increase the Severity of COVID-19.” Learn why “Rutgers researchers say further study is needed but those with the chronic respiratory disease don’t appear to be at a higher risk of getting extremely ill or dying from coronavirus,” and how #RutgesResearch is making a difference.
As more and more equine enthusiasts are starting to ride, visit their horses, and visit stables, we thought a quick refresher on Stable Management would be helpful. While these are Non-COVID related resources, we also have those available on our COVID resource page.
For this week’s theme, we will focus on Stable Management:
Fact Sheets: New Jersey Livestock Farmer Survey: Is My Farm Environmentally Friendly?, Equine Barnyard Management
Podcasts: Farm Safety Recommendations
Publications: Agricultural Management Practices for Commercial Equine Operations
For the Kids: Learn about our Summer Showcase (NEXT WEEK!) with “RU Coming to the Summer Showcase?: We’ve Gone Digital!”
As always, our equine experts are available to help. For any questions about stable management, or questions in general, please feel free to visit our Ask The Expert Portal. Here you can submit a question at the bottom of the page, and one of our Experts will respond directly to you.
We hope that our last installment has kept you busy, and know that you enjoy this one! We look forward to seeing you back on our website next week!
