Keeping Engaged While Keeping Safe – #StayHome 3rd Edition

To Our Equine Enthusiast Family,

While all of us continue to #StayHome to prevent the spread of the virus, we hope that everyone is staying safe, staying well, and staying engaged. Another good story coming out of Rutgers is how empty computer labs around campus are now being used to fight Covid-19. Take a look at “Rutgers’ Empty Computer Labs Put to Use Testing Possible COVID-19 Treatments” to see how the power of Rutgers’ computers are making a difference.

As we continue our “Keeping Engaged While Keeping Safe” initiative, this week we will explore some of the various equine-related professions that are out there. The best part… all of the links showcase Rutgers Alumni!

For this week’s theme, we will focus on Equine-Related Careers:

Newsletter Article: Alumni Spotlight: Dr. Amanda Szucsik
Horses In The Morning: “Real Vet Students Rutgers Edition” Presented By Cheryl Harvey, Elisabeth Leahy, and Dr. Karyn Malinowski
Website: Equine Science Center Alumni Section

For the Kids: Nelson’s Blog Post – “What Will You Do When You Grow Up? : Academia” & “What Will You Do When You Grow Up? : Epidemiologist

As always, our equine experts are available to help. For any equine-related profession questions, or questions in general, please feel free to visit our Ask The Expert Portal. Here you can submit a question at the bottom of the page, and one of our Experts will respond directly to you.

We hope that our second installment is as fun as the first! We look forward to seeing you back on our website next week!

Best,
The Equine Science Center
