Keeping Engaged While Keeping Safe – #StayHome 8th Edition

To Our Equine Enthusiast Family,

While all of us continue to #StayHome to prevent the spread of the virus, we hope that everyone is staying safe, staying well, and staying engaged. This week’s feel good story coming out of Rutgers is how a recent study showed that “Inexpensive Saline Solution Can Improve Speed, Effectiveness of COVID-19 Testing.” The researchers hope that this will help to resolve a nationwide shortage of the solution needed to complete COVID-19 testing.

This week we will explore how certain foods and supplements have certain benefits. From everyday vitamins found in most food, to adding things like cranberry and ginger, how does what a horse eats affect it?

For this week’s theme, we will focus on Antioxidants:

Fact Sheets: Antioxidants and Your Horse

Ask The Expert Questions: Can you recommend a supplement program to boost the immune system?, What type and amount of joint supplements are the best?, How do “calming supplements” work?

“Horses In The Morning” Radio Show : “Horses and Antioxidants and Oxidative Stress” presented by Dr. Carey Williams

For the Kids: Cool School!

As always, our equine experts are available to help. For any antioxidant questions , or questions in general, please feel free to visit our Ask The Expert Portal. Here you can submit a question at the bottom of the page, and one of our Experts will respond directly to you.
