NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – The Equine Science Center at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is pleased to notify undergraduate students and incoming first-year students of the Doris C. Murphy scholarship application deadline extension. To make sure that more applicants have the time and ability to apply, the Center has extended the typical deadline to July 1st, 2022.
The Doris C. Murphy scholarship is reserved for female students who are New Jersey residents majoring in Animal Sciences with a concentration in Equine Science and are currently enrolled or are an incoming first-year student at Rutgers University. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit, proven financial need, and demonstrated interest in equine science.
Up to six $1,000 awards are available annually. The 2022/2023 academic year deadline is Friday, July 1, 2022. This year, applications should be sent electronically. Applicants can send their Application Form, and Essay, separately from the rest of the required documents. All recommendation letters should be e-mailed directly from the recommender. Transcripts should also be sent electronically.
