Hay everyone!

I hope y’all got a chance to drop in this past Saturday and check out the in-person Horse Management Seminar! There was such a variety in the presentations, I don’t think I could pick a favorite. Even if you didn’t, we still have something lined up for everyone to enjoy. Like I mentioned in my last blog, we are having a virtual Seminar too! This is especially awesome because we are hosting different presenters who are happy to share even more expert knowledge.

Be sure to tune in for three Tuesday evenings in February: the 13th, 20th, and 27th. Each webinar will be from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions during that time.

The focus of the first week will be on pasture management with presentations from Dr. Matt Elmore of Rutgers University and Dr. Bob Coleman of the University of Kentucky.

During the second seminar, we’ll hear about the best care practices for your senior horse from Dr. Nettie Liburt of Liburt Equine Nutritional Consulting and Dr. Jessica Martin of Mountain Pointe Equine.

The third and final week will focus on the general health and welfare of your horse, where we’ll hear from Dr. Danielle Smarsh of Penn State University and Dr. Kris Hiney of Oklahoma State University.

Those sound like really cool topics to me! Be sure to register so you can tune in every evening: https://go.rutgers.edu/2024VirtualHMSReg

I hope you’re just as excited as I am! The folks at the Equine Science Center have a great batch of presenters lined up for y’all, so be sure to tune in!

Until next time.

Your friend,

Lord Nelson
