Current Research Updates:

The Equine Science Center has moved into the Recruitment Phase for the research project. The Center is seeking male participants between the ages of 18 and 75, who are veterns with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), veterans without PTSD, and non veterans to participate in a research study on co-regulation and the effects of equine assisted activities on symptoms of PTSD.

The project is a partnership with statewide stakeholders including: the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs; Special Strides located in Monroe, New Jersey (where the sessions will be conducted); the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University; the Office of Veteran and Military Programs and Services at Rutgers; the Rutgers Business School – Military and Veteran Engagement Programs; and Boehringer Ingelheim.
